Kids are Something

Lois and Alyson got new cell phones today. (Incidentally, if you are going river rafting, do not leave your cell phone in your pocket. Or your flash drive. Or your SD camera card. Or your car key fob.)
For the past hour or so Lois has been trying to get her ringer on her phone to work. I asked her if I could give it a try and then handed it back to her - unworking - 20 minutes later.
Alyson came through 5 minutes later and played with it for about a minute and now its working. Show Off.

Hahaha, it is amazing isn't it? Violet plays with that ipod Touch I just got and she found videos on Youtube with it in like 5 seconds. Not just random videos, but her favorite: the Wiggles. How? I have no idea. I hadn't even tried Youtube on it yet.

The real question is what ring did she choose for her parental unit?

Hahaha! Little Man figured out the Xbox 360 and all the different remotes in record time. He actually plays the games against his teenage brothers. Me? I just figured out how to personalize ringtones last night...On a phone I've had for three years.

Kids are pretty resourceful when they want to be.

She just got the phone making noise again and Lois picked her own ringtone.

I had my first cell phone for about a year or so before I upgraded. I gave it to my oldest daughter and she was finding things on my old phone I had no idea were there.

I'm wondering why you didn't give it to her in the first place? you like being upstaged by your children?

That is a very good question. We should have started there.

My kids drive me crazy when they do that. I am also thankful. But irritated at the same time.

It is pretty fascinating to watch. It is like second sight or something.
